IOF Inspector and National Controller to second time visit Krasnoyarsk
Krasnoyarsk has been visited by Inspector International Orienteering Federation (IOF)  Sixten Sild  and National Controller Arkadii Vedin of the Orienteering Federation of Russia.
The inspectors assessed the city's preparations for the testing event - the 22nd World Ski Orienteering Championships 2017 and for the competitions in their sport within the Winter Universiade 2019.
The delegates saw the projected sports venues. As the main venue on the Winter Universiade, we consider the vicinity of the Winter Sports Academy Cluster ''Raduga'' where the ski stadium equipped with a start-complex is to be constructed. The woodland plot close to multi-functional complex ''Biathlon Academy'' should be a back-up venue, Birch Grove of the Students' Campus - the model venue.
Once the sports venues were inspected, the guests met the Minister of Sports for the Krasnoyarsk Territory and representatives of the Universiade 2019 Directorate. They noted the high level of preparedness in Krasnoyarsk at this stage.

The next visit is scheduled for March 2016 on subjects of accommodation and catering for athletes and delegations representatives. Besides, the issue of organising TV broadcast for the World Championships and competitions at the Winter Universiade 2019 will be addressed.
Here is to remind that ski orienteering is an optional sport for the Winter Universiade 2019 and was suggested by Russia to be included into the programme yet at the stage of bidding campaign.
The Krasnoyarsk Territory is proud not only of huge success of its athletes at the global arena but also has significant expertise in holding international level events in ski orienteering - the World Cup 1997 and the World Championships 2000.
